I’m revisiting The BJM for the first time in a while because their song “Straight Up And Down” is the opening theme to Boardwalk Empire. I know a lot of people give them shit but I dig them for what they are and I saw them live in 2010 and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever heard. It was one of the first (if not the first) shows Matt Hollywood had played with the band as one of the original “main three” line up of Anton, Joel, and Matt in quite some time. Possibly years. You could tell they were having the time of their lives and the crowd was full of people who just wanted to be there. It was really special.
